Plastic surgeon Dr. Christopher Patronella is pleased to welcome an accomplished and respected aesthetic nurse specialist to his practice: Heidi Fell, RN, who will partner with him to provide what has become one of the hottest growing trends in the nation: non-surgical treatments to erase the signs of aging on the face, neck, and hands with little to no down time required.
With eight years of experience in the aesthetic industry, Fell, who prides herself on getting to know her patients and working together with them to customize treatment plans to achieve their goals, brings an exquisite expertise level and keen eye for detail to her role. In addition to offering Ulthera®—the only non-surgical treatment that is FDA-approved to tighten and lift loose skin on the eyebrow, neck, and under the chin—Fell is proficient in delivering a full spectrum of cosmetic injectable treatments that target everything from erasing fine lines and wrinkles to restoring youthful fullness and suppleness to the face and hands, which tend to become more gaunt, thin, and hollow with age.
Fell said, “Patients often come into my office and tell me that they look tired or upset when that is not the case. They want to look as good as they feel on the inside. Often it is simply a matter of using BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport® to lift the brow, open the eyes up, and turn up the corners of the mouth.”
In some cases, Fell noted, treating this concern requires a product that will replace volume loss and lift the skin to re-establish natural facial contours. When combined to treat these multiple characteristics of aging, sometimes in conjunction with Ulthera, the result is what’s become known as a liquid facelift—a powerhouse procedure that can provide the look of a facelift, though not as long-lasting or in-depth as the surgical alternative.
Her foremost goal with any treatment is ensure patients leave her office feeling more confident about their appearance without looking overdone. “My patients understand that you can do aesthetic treatments and still look natural; the frozen look isn’t necessary to maintain a fresh and youthful appearance.” This is one reason dermal fillers and BOTOX and Dysport to soften lines have become increasingly popular with men, said Fell, noting, “Once they realize they can diminish lines without looking artificial, they are hooked.”
In joining the practice, Fell takes the place of Dr. Patronella’s aesthetic nurse specialist of five years, Abby Loner, RN, who is moving to Dallas as part of her husband’s job transfer. Fell said, “Throughout my years of working in the aesthetic field, I have always heard of Dr. Patronella. He is one of the most respected physicians in the industry, and I am honored to be working with him.”
